Fatemeh Kamali-Chirani, Independent Scholar

Fatemeh Kamali-Chirani is an Iranian-German scholar. She did her PhD in University of Augsburg, Germany. Up to end of 2016 she had a PhD scholarship from Brot für die Welt, a German protestant development organization. Born in Rasht, Iran, she studies her BA (Journalism) and MA (North American Studies) in the University of Tehran, Iran. She used to be a journalist and NGO activist in Iran. Topic of her PhD has been: Intercultural Dialogue between Western and Muslim Countries – An Analysis of Foreign Cultural Policy of Iran and Germany from 1998 to 2013. The role of culture and dialogue in international relations has been always an interest for her.
