João Carlos Sousa, Cies, Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa

 Graduated in Sociology (2009) and Master in Sociology: exclusions and social policies (2013) by the University of Beira Interior. Research Fellow (2010-2015) in projects Citizens' Agenda: Journalism and civic participation in the Portuguese media (PTDC/CCI-JOR/098732/2008) and Public and private in mobile communications (QREN) both developed in the LabCom of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of Beira Interior University. Since June 2016 the researcher at OberCom. In 2016-2017 Fellow of Science and Technology at OberCom - Palácio Foz. The same year (November) joined the project Measure Connect Energy Efficiency for All (ADENE), developed at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon. Currently attending the PhD Program in Communication Sciences at ISCTE-Institute of the Lisbon University. In this context, in January 2019 started an Individual PhD Scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (SFRH/BD/136605/2018). Born in the city of Covilhã on May 14, 1982.
